Sometimes I still find special events hard without you.
It seems so silly as you've been gone longer than I've known you at this point.
I miss Halloween, and carving pumpkins. Seeing how excited you were when the doorbell would ring because you wanted to see all the kids in costumes.
I miss singing to The Beatles with you, and hearing you lecture me about music.
There are so many memories to list, but I want to keep them as our memories.
More than anything, grandpa. I wish I could hear you tell me to give my head a shake and tell me what are ya fucking stupid?!
Just once more.
Maybe I wouldn't have been so fucking stupid in my adult life.
I love you, Grampy. ❤️
I hope you can be proud, looking down on me.

Nathan Bachmeier/Poho I will miss you Pete. February 19, 2010
I didn't know Peter for all that long, only a few years, but Peter was an amazing person. I was a stranger to him when Marlene and Brandy found me after many years of being out of contact, but even though he didn't know me he welcomed me and treated me like one of his own children. When thinking of Peter one word comes to mind, Honor. He was the most honorable person I think I have ever met and I wish I had known him longer. I regret falling out of contact with Peter and Marlene and I will miss him. I send my best wishes to Marlene and the rest of the family.

I am so sorry as Pete & I became so close the longer  I lived there. We argued every morning, which meant things were good.  I will never forget you Pete.  Especially every birthday.  Live on and sing and when I hear the birds I'll think of you

The Kirvan Family;

I was very sorry to learn that Peter has passed away. Please accept my deepest sympathies. He was once a great Brother-in-law and later a friend to me. Although I hadn't seen him in many years I thought of him often. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Sweet Pete

57 years - for your life and your love we shed our tears.

In our lives we meet but only a few

Who one can say... to himself and his life he was true

You were open and honest, true and sleek

And you will be missed our unique Sweet Pete

We watched you age before our eyes

But we were not ready to say our goodbyes

The past few years we have all seen your pain

But to lose you by heart is just insane

We now know that you are free

Peace for you, pain and sorrow for we

Your love Marlene, your kids and grandkids, your family and friends

We shed our tears for our pain... That we must go forward in the way you would want it to be

It is all so surreal, but the pain for us, it is real

A rock you were to those in your life

And now their hearts feel pierced by a knife

We have felt such a sadness since you went away

But your memory in our hearts will always stay.

You are loved for life, for who you were.

You will be missed forever for the lives you have touched.

We miss you each and every minute of every day.

Goodby Sweet Pete

Marlene and Family ~ My thoughts and prayers are with you all. This came as such a huge shock and I just can't find the right words to say much. I love you guys and will continue praying for your peace and comfort during this hard time.

I was very saddened to hear of Peter's sudden passing.

It made me think back on those early years back at St. Joseph's school and it brought a smile to my face.

Peter and my brother Kenny as his buddies called him, were like two peas in a pod. I was very happy to hear they reconnected a few weeks ago by phone. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Mary Ellen and David from George Darte Funeral Home January 22, 2008

Debbie,

We are so sorry for the loss of your dear brother. Our thoughts are with you and Les, your mother, sisters and entire extended family; and of course with Peter's wife, children and granchildren out west. Sorry we could not be there with you yesterday, but we will see you soon.

Love from Mary Ellen and David
