Life story
April 29, 1950
Born in Canada Guelph, Ontario on April 29, 1950.
October 9, 2007

Peter's family moved to St. Catharines, Ontario when he was two years old. By the time Peter was 14 he was spending as much time as he could in Edmonton, Alberta. Following his brother, he moved to Edmonton when he was 16. Although he also spent time living in Vancouver, Calgary, London and St. Catharines over the years he always felt Edmonton was his true home and would tell everyone that he was an "Albertan". He became a journeyman bricklayer, a career he pursued until he developed severe back problems and was no longer able to work in the construction industry.

Peter married Patricia Sullivan and they had two handsome and wonderful sons, Kelsey and Samuel. Sadly, after many years, the marriage was not to last.

Peter then lived with Marlene Lysak for 20 years, blending into a family with Marlene's daughter, Brandy.

Through Brandy he has four beautiful grandchildren; Connor, Emerald, Cassandra and Zachary.

He was predeceased by his brother and closest friend Paul in 1994, his father, Gregory in 1996 and his grandaughter Sasha in 2003.

Peter and Marlene moved to Kelowna, BC in 1992 then to Winfield, BC in 2002. Though he stilled loved Edmonton he had come to decide he didn't want the winters there anymore and loved the beauty and climate of the Okanagan. Kelsey and wife Tania Dokter, and Sam all live in Vancouver, BC. Brandy Lysak with her husband Marcus McNeill and the children live in Kelowna, BC.

Peter had gone to St. Catharines to visit his mother, Phyllis and sisters Charlotte Chiola (Ernie), Pat Irwin (Ron), Debra (Les Hall) and Jo-ann Richardson (Blair) as well as his nieces, nephews and grandnieces/nephews, when he unexpectedly and suddenly suffered a heart attack. He went quickly and peacefully.

All who knew Peter knew of his love for music. There are so many songs but I am reminded most of the line from Do You Believe In Magic by the Lovin Spoonful...

"How the magic is the music and the music is me".

He was truly the magic in so many peoples lives. He was a true and solid friend and his door and heart were always open. He lived a full life and I hope you hold your memories of him close to you but remember to share them with others.
